Snapper fishing in State waters off Panama CityReport Date: August 28, 2008Fishing the artificial reefs in state waters off Panama City, we started off fast and furious. Baits put on the bottom were met with instant bites. After tropical storm Fay, the waters are off-colored, but it doesn’t seem to bother the fish. We left a couple of really promising bites due to the ongoing dolphin problem. They seem to only want to get the big ones. Lost some really nice fish to ‘em. No really big fish in the box today but we did come home with a nice mess of Snapper and Beeliners (Vermillion Snapper).
Red Snapper season in state waters remains open until October 31st. Back to Main Fishing Report Page
